I'm McKenzie, a colored pencil artist specializing in creating lifelike pet and wildlife portraits. In my drawings I strive to capture the beauty and unique character of each subject, and evoke the emotional bonds we share with our companions.

My love for art began as a child, and my journey as an artist began as a teenager painting oil portraits of my favorite musicians. Determined to reconnect with that part of my identity after becoming a mom, I took up colored pencils in 2023 and quickly fell in love with the medium. I completed my first portrait of my dog Bruce in July 2023 and haven’t looked back since!
